When CO2 systems scale up in capacity and the thermal load fluctuates rapidly throughout the day, many gas coolers begin to reveal their limitations: airflow rates become insufficient, head pressure spikes beyond design parameters, and thermal efficiency drops as soon as a single fan slows down or shuts off. Even a minor disruption in airflow can compromise the entire operational balance, particularly in installations where the heat transfer surface area is already operating at its limit. 

Under these conditions, systems become highly sensitive to elevated ambient temperatures, high-pressure alarms multiply, and compressor power consumption spikes, causing an immediate negative impact on overall efficiency and operating costs. 

The RKDS-RKDL series is engineered to deliver a more robust response in these specific scenarios: designed to handle high thermal loads, maintain head pressure stability during peak hours, and guarantee operational continuity where alternative solutions begin to lose efficiency.

Advantages of Double-Row Table-Type Gas Coolers

  • Enhanced stability under severe ambient conditions: Achieved thanks to the large heat transfer surface area and diam. 910 mm external rotor fans that deliver high volumetric airflow rates.

     

  • Operational continuity during partial fan shutdowns: Made possible by internal separator baffles between the fan sections, which prevent air recirculation (bypass) and preserve heat transfer effectiveness.

     

  • Superior long-term heat exchanger reliability: Guaranteed by inner-grooved K65 copper tubes and a dedicated tube suspension system that eliminates direct contact between the coil core and the casing frame, mitigating vibrations, thermal expansion stress, and the risk of micro-leaks.

     

  • Natural noise reduction: Thanks to aerodynamic fan shrouds and large fan diameters, allowing operation at lower rotation speeds while fully maintaining the airflow required for heat exchange.

     

  • Improved aerodynamic efficiency: Driven by the table-type configuration and optimized coil design, which ensure a uniform airflow distribution across the entire heat exchanger, maximizing heat dissipation capacity.
