RKVM–AD Adiabatic Spray V-shaped Gas Coolers

Controlled efficiency during thermal peaks without oversizing the system.

The V-shaped configuration with Spray System for operational stability and continuity

Managing heat dissipation in CO2 refrigeration systems becomes complex when rooftop installation space is limited and the required thermal load spikes rapidly during the hottest hours of the day. When the unit fails to maintain the head pressure at its optimal value during critical periods, the system is forced to operate under conditions much more severe than design parameters, reducing cycle efficiency while increasing power consumption and the risk of high-pressure alarms.

Relying on a conventional gas cooler often implies utilizing oversized units that occupy more surface area than necessary and operate at full capacity for only a few dozen hours per year, leading to a significant negative impact on costs and installation logistics.

The RKVM–AD series addresses this challenge with a targeted approach, activating the adiabatic Spray System only during peak ambient temperatures. The narrow-width V-bank configuration ensures balanced airflow distribution and straightforward integration even within restricted spaces, leaving specific performance data and available configurations to the technical specifications.

  • Large-Scale Retail Trade

Advantages of Gas Coolers

  • Effective mitigation of thermal peaks without oversizing: Thanks to the targeted activation of the Spray System, which depresses the incoming air temperature only during critical hours, guaranteeing the required thermal performance and higher overall system efficiency.

  • Water usage limited to a few hours per year: Operating in dry mode for most of the year ensures reduced operating costs, simplified water management, and lower maintenance requirements compared to continuous-use adiabatic systems.

  • Simplified integration into restricted spaces: Thanks to the narrow width of the single-row V-shaped configuration, which maintains large heat transfer surface areas without increasing the lateral footprint.

  • Enhanced head pressure stability: Driven by the optimized design of the heat exchanger core and the ability to operate fans at lower rotation speeds during most of the year.

  • Long-term structural reliability: Guaranteed by inner-grooved K65 copper alloy tubes, stainless steel headers, and a dedicated coil suspension system, which drastically reduce vibrations, thermal expansion stress, and potential micro-leaks.

  • Design versatility: With over 178 models, AC/EC fan options, multiple fin spacing choices, and specific customization parameters to modulate noise levels, external static pressure, and energy consumption according to plant requirements.
