RKVS V-shaped Gas Coolers

Maximum dissipation capacity in restricted spaces and urban environments.

The compact V-shaped solution for stable head pressure control in CO2 systems

Managing heat dissipation in refrigeration systems utilizing CO2 refrigerant can become complex when the unit must be installed on visually exposed rooftops, or in sites with height limitations and strict architectural constraints. In these scenarios, conventional gas coolers are often too tall, visually intrusive, or feature fans with noise levels that conflict with local urban acoustic regulations.

When available space prevents compliance with the minimum clearance distances required for a standard gas cooler to operate correctly, thermal performance can become unstable: fans are forced to run at higher rotation speeds, energy consumption spikes, and stable head pressure control becomes difficult to maintain as ambient temperatures fluctuate. This results in a higher sensitivity to high-pressure alarms and reduced system efficiency during peak hours.

The RKVS series is specifically engineered to address these challenges. The V-shaped configuration concentrates the heat transfer surface within a significantly low profile, ensuring stable and continuous airflow while delivering performance aligned with design requirements. The result is a compact, discreet, and reliable solution engineered to operate consistently even under the most demanding conditions.

Advantages of V-shaped Gas Coolers

  • Minimal vertical footprint: Thanks to the V-shaped geometry, which enables installation in sites with architectural height constraints without penalizing system performance.

  • Enhanced head pressure stability: Driven by the precision design of the heat exchanger coils, which ensures uniform airflow distribution and consistent performance even at low fan speeds.

  • Superior heat exchanger robustness: Guaranteed by inner-grooved K65 copper tubes and a dedicated tube suspension system that minimize vibrations, thermal expansion stress, and the risk of micro-leaks.

  • Low operating noise: Achieved via large-diameter $\varnothing$ 800–910 mm external rotor fans, statically and dynamically balanced, which maintain high volumetric airflow rates at lower rotation speeds in urban or sound-sensitive applications.

  • Improved aerodynamic efficiency: Thanks to optimized fan shrouds and anti-recirculation separator baffles that maintain effective heat transfer even when certain fans are non-operational.

  • Design flexibility: With over 70 available models, multiple fin spacing options, and a dual choice of AC/EC fans, allowing for precise adaptation to space, capacity, and acoustic requirements.
