Installing a traditional evaporator can be challenging in processing rooms, back rooms and cold rooms with low ceilings or limited clearance between the ceiling and overhead guide rails. Restricted space often hinders proper air circulation and uniform distribution of cold air. Furthermore, humidity and condensation levels tend to fluctuate throughout the day, creating an unstable microclimate that impacts both product quality and staff safety.
These issues do not just affect the final result, but also increase energy consumption and make maintenance more difficult and time-consuming due to poor accessibility.
To address these challenges, Refteco has developed the REDC–RBDC dual-discharge air evaporators, specifically engineered for low- profile environments and confined spaces. Their reduced height facilitates installation in even the most critical areas, while the dual-flow design ensures a uniform and stable air distribution across the entire workspace. The result is more balanced cooling, lower energy cost, and a significant reduction in required maintenance.

- Unrestricted installation, thanks to their low profile and dual-flow design, which allows for seamless integration into cold rooms with low ceilings, overhead rails or crowded production areas. The range of 58 models and available options (stainless steel casing , ATEX fans, 6-pole fans, insulated drip trays, various defrost systems, coil treatments, electrical wiring) ensure total adaptability to any layout.
- Rapid and constant heat exchange, provided by internally grooved Ø12 mm copper tubes coils,designed to maintain uniform cooling even under variable thermal loads.
- Preserved product quality, achieved through precise fin spacing (4–6–8 mm) that reduces dehumidification, limits frost formation and maintains stable conditions inside the cold room.
- Superior energy efficiency, featuring high-efficiency AC/EC axial fans (Ø 230–350–450 mm). These fans are balanced and ErP-compliant, optimized for maximum airflow, quiet operation, and low consumption.
- Reliability and longevity, guaranteed by corrosion-resistant materials (RAL 9002 powder-coated galvanized steel casing, AISI 304 stainless steel screws) and a maintenance-friendly design, featuring a hinged drip tray, quick-access points, and inspectable components. Designed in accordance with PED, Machinery Directive, Low Voltage, and EMC regulations.
