RGF industrial air coolers with horizontal coil

Uniform cooling for large industrial cold rooms.

The robust solution for refrigeration with water, glycol and non-freezing fluids

Large-volume industrial cold rooms require continuous and stable thermal control, even when the product is subjected to intensive cycles, frequent handling and variable thermal loads. The air must reach every point of the cold room with a sufficient flow, without creating colder zones or poorly ventilated areas, even in the presence of deep shelving or significant cold room height.

It is precisely in these contexts that a traditional coil can become a limit: if the surface is not sufficient or the geometry is not carefully chosen, the air circulates poorly, the microclimate becomes unbalanced and consumption increases.

The horizontal coil of RGF air coolers is specifically to guarantee stability. The horizontal configuration promotes a more uniform flow distribution and greater process continuity, offering the operational stability necessary in large-scale industrial cold rooms.

Application area

  • Food & Beverage
  • Storage & Logistics

Advantages of horizontal coil air coolers

  • Uniform cooling even in very deep cold rooms, thanks to the high efficiency axial fans (Ø560–630-710-800-910 mm) with thermal protection and EN ISO 13857 grids, capable of maintaining a stable airflow throughout the volume of the room, resulting in a reduction of thermal variations.

  • Effective heat exchange achieved through Ø16 mm smooth copper tubes and high-thickness aluminium fins, designed to reduce pressure drops and limit pumping consumption in water, glycol and non-freezing solutions systems, improving overall plant efficiency.

  • Long-term operational continuity ensured by the tube suspension system, which eliminates contact with the frame and limits the possibility of vibrations and micro-leaks, increasing the stability and durability of the coil even during intensive cycles.

  • Greater structural resistance guaranteed by the galvanized steel casing, the AISI 304 stainless steel hardware and a leak-proof welded stainless steel tray, materials selected to work reliably in environments characterized by high humidity.

  • Constant energy efficiency thanks to ErP compliant AC/EC external rotor fans, dynamically and statically balanced, which ensure low power absorption and stable operation even in the presence of high loads.

  • High installation adaptability with over 290 models available and a complete range of fin spacings (6–12 mm), allowing for precise sizing based on cold room volume, airflow pattern and actual operating conditions.
